PENANG, MALAYSIA - JULY 2022 - The National Committee on Investment (NCI) visited ViTrox Campus 2.0 to learn about ViTrox Corporation and its purpose of driving compassionate innovation. Lim Bee Vian, the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA), led the group of 30 and spent the afternoon of 28 July 2022 at the campus.
Managing Director/President/CEO Chu Jenn Weng introduced the company overview, innovation breakthroughs, and ViTrox's ten-year master plan (2021-2030) to the NCI members. He also emphasised the importance of building a robust local talent pipeline in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM), as well as the struggle of local companies competing for talents against multinational corporations.
The senior management team of ViTrox hosted the guests with a campus plant tour, introducing them to the hub for research and development (R&D) and the production site of Machine Vision System. At the Command Cockpit Centre (CCC), the guests had an immersive experience of the smart factory when Senior Director of Business Development Gary Leong presented the real-time monitoring and issue triggering systems for the manufacturing line. Besides the smart factory, ViTrox Agritech R&D Manager Vincent Ong Boon Keong introduced NCI members to ViTrox’s agricultural endeavour and smart agriculture solutions.
