The Board of Directors of VCB has received notifications dated October 18, 2006 from Mr. Chu Jenn Weng, the Managing Director, Dato' Kiew Kwong Sen, the Chairman together with Mr. Siaw Kok Tong and Mr. Yeoh Shih Hoong, the Executive Directors of VCB of their intention to deal in VCB's securities during the closed period pending the announcement of VCB of its results for the third quarter ended September 30, 2006.
